|Vote for Broadbridge Lane Open Space (25 October 2011)|
Tandridge District Council is working with Fields in Trust to help protect 2012 outdoor recreational spaces by 2012, as a permanent, tangible legacy from both the Diamond Jubilee and the London 2012 Olympics. The Queen Elizabeth II Fields Challenge is led by Prince William.
Local residents are being asked to vote online by 18 November at http://www.qe2fields.com/Castyourvote.aspx for one of the following local recreation grounds that have been nominated.
¡ Broadbridge Lane Open Space, Smallfield.
Councillor Tony Elias, Chairman of the Community Services Committee, said: “This is a great initiative and I would urge residents to go online and vote for their favourite recreation ground. We recognise the importance of open spaces and are committed to maintaining them. This scheme supports those values.”
